Welcome to Tree Generator. We are committed to protecting your personal data and ensuring transparency about how we operate our web-based 3D modeling application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your data.

1. Data We Collect

To provide our services, we collect the following types of information:

• Authentication Data: We use Google Sign-In to verify your identity. We collect and store your Google User ID (UID) and email address.
• Legacy Project Data: The current browser editor does not provide personal cloud saving. Project data saved under an earlier service plan may remain stored until the account is deleted or the data is removed.
• Payment Information: Direct website payments are processed securely by Stripe. Purchases made on Gumroad or itch.io are processed by that storefront. We do not view or store your card number. We retain purchase and desktop-license references needed to provide downloads and activation.
• Storefront Verification: When you verify a Gumroad or itch.io purchase, we send the submitted license or download key, or your verified account email, to the selected storefront. We store the resulting purchase reference and the Tree Generator account to which it was linked, but we do not store the submitted key.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely for the following purposes:

• To provide access to the Tree Generator browser editor and public starter library.
• To manage Tree Generator Desktop purchases, downloads, activation, and update eligibility.
• To ensure the security and integrity of our platform.
• To communicate with you regarding your account or critical updates.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We utilize trusted third-party infrastructure to run our service:

• Google Firebase: Used for secure hosting, database storage (Firestore), file storage, and user authentication.
• Stripe: Used for secure payment processing and purchase management.
• Gumroad and itch.io: Used to process purchases made through those storefronts and to verify Desktop license eligibility.

4. Data Retention and Security

Account and license records are stored on Google Cloud servers. Server-managed entitlement fields cannot be changed directly by users. Legacy private-library data is not exposed through the current browser product.

5. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access: You can request information about personal data associated with your account.
• Rectification: You can update applicable payment details through Stripe or the storefront used for the purchase.
• Erasure: You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data ("Right to be Forgotten") by contacting support.
