By using the Tree Generator application ("Service"), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Service Description

Tree Generator is a procedural 3D vegetation authoring tool provided by Dave Berg. The free browser editor can create and preview assets and open the public starter library, but it does not provide saving, a personal library, or exports. The separately purchased desktop application provides local files, local libraries, and exports.

2. Desktop Purchase and Updates

Tree Generator Desktop is sold for a one-time price displayed at checkout. Direct website payments are processed by Stripe; Gumroad and itch.io process purchases made through their storefronts.

• Perpetual License: Your license to use the desktop version you received is permanent and does not require a recurring subscription.
• Updates: Desktop updates are included for one year from the purchase date. The software versions received during that period remain licensed after the update period ends.
• Activation: The desktop application uses account-based activation and may periodically reconnect to validate the license. A Gumroad or itch.io purchase must be verified and linked to one Tree Generator account before activation.

3. Asset License

You may use, modify, distribute, and sell the trees, plants, meshes, textures, animations, and other assets you create with Tree Generator, including in commercial projects and asset packages.

• You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or provide access to the Tree Generator software, installer, license, or source code itself.
• Third-party models, textures, or other content you import remain subject to their own licenses.

4. Promotions

From time to time, we may offer promotional codes or discounts.

• Promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash.
• We reserve the right to expire or revoke promotional offers at any time without prior notice.

5. Export Restrictions

You agree to comply with all applicable domestic and international export laws and regulations that apply to the software.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
